Maybe It Was The Roses pays homage to the Grateful Dead's 8 night run at the famous Radio City Music Hall & their powerfully emotional rendition of "It Must Have Been the Roses" on 10/26/80.
Each piece will be signed and numbered by artist Charlie Paschall with the following lyrics on the back:
"I don't know, maybe it was the roses".
This design, and all of the designs in our Bootleg series, will be limited to 111 shirts. After that - no more will be made.
Like all of our batiks, Maybe It Was The Roses is a wearable piece of art. Each shirt is hand-drawn with wax, hand-painted, & hand-dyed to order. Thus, our shirts will last much longer than a typical silk screen shirt. Every piece takes around 1 hr to make, and no two are exactly alike. We use Gildan unisex 6.0 Ounce Ultra Cotton short sleeve t-shirts. These shirts are 100% cotton pre-shrunk jersey knit tees that run true to size.
*** PLEASE NOTE ***
Expect 3 - 5 weeks from date of purchase to receive your handmade batik. Since each shirt is made to order we do not accept exchanges or returns. All sales are final.
