"Born in a Desert, Raised in a Lions Den" is the 3rd colorway of our
Weir Everywhere series. While this song was not written by either Weir, Hunter nor Barlow, but rather by
Noah Lewis in the 1920's
, we feel that they all wished they had. Weir certainly performs (some would say embodies)
New Minglewood Blues perfectly - a
s if it were his own.
Each piece will be signed by artist Charlie Paschall and include
"Born in a Desert & Raised in a Lions Den" on the back.
Like all of our batiks, "Born in a Desert, Raised in a Lions Den" is a wearable piece of art. Each shirt is hand-drawn with wax, hand-painted, & hand-dyed to order. Thus, our shirts will last much longer than a typical silk screen shirt. Every piece takes around 1 hr to make, and no two are exactly alike. We use Gildan unisex 6.0 Ounce Ultra Cotton short sleeve t-shirts. These shirts are 100% cotton pre-shrunk jersey knit tees that run true to size.
